By now, I hope all of you are going natural with your flea and tick preventatives. If not, check out my website and “search” for those words to get reasons you should avoid the traditional products AND ways to use nutrition and essential oils and herbs to deter these pests! https://welloiledk9.com

But I often have people tell me their enviornment is just too overrun with ticks or that they are avid nature hiker’s in environments they can’t control. I still say appy the protocols we teach on the website — but you can take an extra step.

Olive Leaf Extract

Did you know…

Most people wait until they find a tick to start thinking about prevention.

But by then… exposure has already happened.

Here’s the smarter play: support your dog before tick season hits.

Using olive leaf extract seasonally (spring + summer) can help:

  • Support your dog’s immune system before exposure

  • Reduce bacterial load if a bite does occur

  • Slow down early replication of unwanted microbes

Why this matters:

  • Tick activity spikes in warmer months

  • Not every bite is obvious

  • And not every issue shows up right away

So instead of reacting…

You’re building resilience ahead of time.

Simple way to think about it:

Start early → stay consistent → support the body

  • Begin in early spring

  • Continue through peak summer

Olive leaf is stronger than people think. It’s not just a gentle “add-on”—it has real antimicrobial activity, which means more is not always better.
